Wanted 83 1100 interstate false tank

I am in need of the right side false tank cover as mine is trashed. It is black with gray and white pin striping. It is a 83 1100 interstate goldwing. I would like to find a decent one so I don't have to paint and try to find the right pin stripes. If I can't find the right side then I would take the whole false tank.

You probably already know, but there are always several on Ebay, if you don't find one here. Yours sounds like mine - black with silver and white striping. Cool!

Right side false tank cover...on an 1100?
1100 is all one piece with a front hinged lid and lockable hinged gas cap cover.
Maybe you have a GL 1000 false tank?

But... if you remove the rivets it becomes multiple pieces AND it is a pain in the butt to get back together without scratching anything.

Dennis, is that the same bike we changed the belts on or have you been spending more money on GoldWings?

no it is the same bike you helped me on. 1 of my grand kids decided to work on my bike with a hammer, he's 4 yrs old, wife stopped him before he could do any more damage to the bike but the right side of the false tank is broken into many pieces.

Hey brianinpa do you remember a bike called bloodwing? Well I bought it got it running and gave it to my oldest son. And yes I have been looking on ebay and no luck as of yet.

Yeah you probably beat me to buying it. Is he still selling it?

No he changed his mind on selling it. his wife was out of work for a while so things got tight for them, but she found a job so he is keeping it. Still looking for a false tank that is black with silver and white stripe.
