Installed my newly polished valve covers. Bradshaw bikes (sunnbobb) did the work, sheesh, puts my own polishing to shame.

Jeff, any chance of you starting a new thread and doing some information about those crash guards and foot rests? They are sweet! :salute:

I think tomorrow I just may join the single carb club...
Nice!, going to do it the easy way or the hard way?

Why reinvent the wheel, I bought a manifold and carb off of eBay a few months ago, just time to put it on and tune it.

Thanks Gerry, I like them some days and don't on others, the footrest are Drag Specialties aluminum with chrome backs, they don't fit real well on the curve of the crash bar, I can mount them to the railing a little higher but that puts my knees up where the grips are, thinking of using the tabs it has just above or use some kind of extensions or something, thinking of just getting some standard crash bars but I do like being able to remove the valve covers easily.

Finally rode the Rats Nest for the first time in 3 weeks. Was only a coffee run to Springwood Suzuki but it was a beautiful day and couldn't believe how smooth the CGW felt, it always manages to put a smile on my face :good:

Been polishing

They were fairly tarnished so this will do until I can spend a couple more hours on the buffing wheel.

Well we got soaked today. We (the wife and I) headed out for a ride to Old Town Florida. Along the way we stopped to check out a combo event being held at the bowling ally in PSL. They also had a car show and the boys scouts there and did a special Olympics bowling. While we were heading north it rained we stopped and turned around to only get caught in it on the side of the road. So we hid in the woods for aa 1/2 hr. Rode a 1 1/2 to the rest stop on the way we seen a truck in the woods pointing the wrong way. If we would have stopped there we would have met that truck the wrong way too. 200 miles round trip. Wish we would have made it Our shirts were soaked so I used the exhaust to dry them. The plaza had dryers you couldn't dry nothing but your hands in. Not like the old blower type so here is a cpl pictures of our ride and bike.. I hope everyone has a safe and great time off from work .. :hi:

PS Dan were going to need two more shirts M,L
