Have an arrival date of February 2nd for the Rats Nest. The ship is set to depart on the 17th of January. Can't believe it will be 5 months since I last rode the Rats Nest, should be a good test of my cheap AGM battery..
That's awesome! Should be a nice reunion! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Today, after spending $300 for an ignition module for Mama's Cad, and installing it, I fired the Wing up. First time it's been started in a month or so. I let it run for a while as I was picking up tools and stuff, and noticed a puddle under the left side head. I assumed it was condensation from the head pipe....until I smelled raw fuel. Dang front carb on left side leaking like a :sensored: .
Dangit.....I wuz planning on riding next week....

:builder: smack it around show it who's boss then dump in some atf in the fuel.
:clapping: be happy go ride.

I took off the plug wire cover, and carb cover from the side that was leaking, ready to give it sum lurvin with a mallet. :builder: Fired it up, and.....no leak..dry as a bone. :headscratch:
Imma guessing it had sit so long before runnin it yesterday that the bowl gasket had dried out on that carb, and it leaked until it swelled up a little. Absolutely dry today....yipppppeeeee!! :yahoo:
While I wuz at it, jest fer grins, I checked my runnin voltage. 14.5 v idling. :eek:k: Strange thing is, if I turn on my driving lights, the voltage goes UP to just a tad over 15v...at idle. Guess that new stator and Reg/Rec are doin their jobs.

Working on the fork seals on the 1100. Now I am not sure if I want to just clean up the lower fork tubes of paint them...
I rarely think painted fork tubes ads to the look of a bike unless it's part of a total scheme.

Brian, google "Flitz", it is a product that will polish those fork tubes right up! (After you get the clearcoat off with oven cleaner)

I know what you mean - I am just at that point where I am undecided how far I want to go with this.

I am leaning towards keeping the bike gray, the engine it's silver color, and painting all the chrome black except the upper fork tubes and the engine crash bars. Trouble is, I am bidding on some chrome extras on fleebay right now that might change that direction.
