Tore the trunk apart on the GL1800 and found the two broken wires that were keeping the remote lock/unlock from working. Spliced and returned to normal.

:cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:

Actually, the rear tire I recently put on has right at 4000 miles on it, and so far, it's looking good, wear-wise....and I have managed to NOT poke a hole in it...yet. Of course, now that I've said that..... :head bang:

Cut the centerstand support section out of the damaged '83 frame. Packed and boxed it up to send to Gerry tomorrow. I'm glad it will have a good home.

Found some cracking in the fairing and one saddle bag.. patching them now..
Stop joking around with 'em, Joe - you're crackin' 'em up! :hihihi:

I was worried that I was going to have to pull the motor again on the 1100 due to an oil leak at the rear case... turns out it was just the bolts needed to be tightened again after a heat up/cool down cycle. Dodged that bullet. Then I installed the crash guards, floorboards, saddlebags, painted the trunk and the saddlebag lids to match the rest of the bike. Not sure what I am doing with the bags yet, so they are staying black for a few days until I see it outside. Now if the US Postal Service would only deliver my dang clutch cables I could ride it!

Oh yeah, I also proved to myself that with the C5, the igniters are not needs so no more black tar all over the horn. :music:
