Put a Vista Cruise thumb lock on the Gold Witch. My wrists were giving me fits.
Then....a really nice addition, a Ram mount to hold my phone. Man, does it ever hold the phone. I might not be able to knock it out of the mount. A bit pricey at $65 but I'm worth it.

I have an older Ram phone mount on my '78, I've sent my phone flying a few times getting it out of the holder, lol. They do hold very well!

$65, but worth it. I have been on rough roads and gravel roads and the phone has stayed right there.

my niece lisa was riding my wing a few weeks ago and got a flat on the rear tire, today we dropped it off at the shop for a new tire. I had my nephew take me to pick up my wing around 15:00 and once back home lisa calls and says her alternator belt broke on her 1200 wing. rode the mighty ST 1300 over to her house and got the belt replaced then headed back home. on the way I stopped at the gas station to fill up the mighty ST 1300, you guys may think having a fuel cell is cool but the mighty ST takes premium fuel and took $26.xx to fill up. I still get sticker shock after each fill up

Mighty ST1300 is still mighty expensive even after the purchase. Only costs about half as much to fill the Valk.

Yeah and I don't know about you, but at 120 miles, I'm seriously looking for a gas station. Here out west, they're sometimes few and far between depending on exactly where you are. I run with a gas bottle specifically made for the rear contour of the saddle bag. That extra gallon gives me "much" peace of mind.

I'm looking for gas at around 285 miles and that's without using the fuel cell

:sensored:

But, I can honestly say that after a couple of hours in the saddle, I'm usually ready to stretch anyway.

I agree with the stopping part. It would probably take me a year to get out to California from here as much as I stop. But I do a lot of solo riding and enjoy the stops to look around a bit, admire the Gold Witch, have a smoke. Besides, there has not been a two hour seat invented for me.

Oh, I ordered a new marine speaker set and receiver. The old radio, and a couple of used radio/speaker buys were not cutting it. Now, all new stuff and new antenna coming. I be jammin'

Cops will be pulling your old butt over for disturbing the peace with all that new equipment installed. :smilie_happy: When you get off the highway, the volume tends to be way too loud for town, that makes one miss the auto volume control, it is a nice feature. :good:Good luck with your upgrade :fiddle:

Changing the air shocks on the trike. The Honda air shocks and the added springs gradually let the body sag onto the tires and you start smelling hot rubber. The Honda shocks don't lose air; they just don't have enough capacity to keep the body up. Got a new set of Monroe "Hi-Jackers" rated at 1100 lbs, so let's see it sag now! :builder:

I've had a zumo 660lm on the wing for about two years now but had never wired up the cradle for power. today I spent about 40 minutes getting power to the cradle
Hopefully I don't take two years for these.. :smilie_happy:
