Riding it really doesn't count, :nea: or does it? :smilie_happy: :good:
i was on the mighty ST 1300 yesterday I started in PA. went through up state NY over to Canada and finally home. Friday we left home and went through OH on to PA, NY, and back into PA. 1018 miles for the weekend, I was going to do a RR but there are not enough pic's. once in coudersport I rode with my buddy tom and he isn't a flower sniffer so no time for pic's

Began the alternator conversion on the Aspencade. So far the faulty pulse generators have been replaced and the new belts are in place. :Egyptian: Now for more fun. I hope to MAKE the time to finish this project this week. (When you can't find time you have to make it.) I did find the belts were way to tight and the timing was out one tooth. This is another reason why you should change the belts on a new to you wing.

I do hope so. I have not had a ride on this bike yet. I bought it and trailered home. It looked great and the price was right due to the blown stator. After the conversion I will have the fork seals and drive shaft seal to replace.

Unfortunately I have been neglecting my '78 since I have been working on the 1800...which I added a little more bling to last night, chrome grips and radio knobs [emoji7] then I went for a short ride. When I get back to the 1000, she will have the Vetter gear stripped off and the customization can begin.

I finished upgrading my rear master cylinder to a Valkyrie\GL1500 unit. When I get the pics uploaded, I'll start a thread to show the process. I used the guidance from some on this site as well as other forums and tweaked it some places. I just rode for 25 minutes and it seems to stop as well or better than before. No more leaking brake fluid... :)

I got the new cig light on and a new speedo cable. Had to take off the wheel because the screw was stripped and I had to cut some channels with the drimmel and hammer it out. I need new tires. They look fine but are now outdated. In fact 8 years old. Maybe I'll start a tire preference thread; those are as fun as an oil thread.

Ran the Mule thru a couple fan cycles this morning.
Started making a punch list what needs done for the ride up North with Skiri, my son, and daughters boyfriend.

Not much to do really. Rear tire needs replaced, grease the splines. Gas lines and filter replace. Spark plugs maybe. Front brake doesn't have much pull movement in the lever, might be something going on there. Rear brake with the 1800 mc feels good.

I went for a ride into the Wilds of Pennsylvania and ran into Paul at a tractor pull.

Actually I met him so I could drop off my C5 so he can reprogram it to run off the cam shaft rather than the crank shaft. We spent some time shooting the breeze talking about ignitions motorcycles and tractors. I look forward to doing something like that again Paul

Great to see that you caught up with Paul Brian. :good:
He is a great guy and it is nice to see that tractor pulling has been a productive area for C5s.

Finally enjoying the benefits of the nearly 3 years of working bringing my oldwing back to life. Not having ridden any motorcycle for nearly 40 years (and that experience just a Yamaha 360 enduro), I have been very pleasantly surprised. What a powerful and well-engineered machine! Not having ridden anything this big, I don't have something to compare it with, but I am impressed.
