I read that the better way to mount a windshield is with spacers under the shield so the shield sits about a 1/4" higher than the faring. This is supposed to allow air into the cockpit and reduce turbulence. I think there is a company that sells brackets to do this. Anyone know anything about this subject? Calmer air while driving would be great.
 
That sounds good but the trim pieces would/should block that... I know many who have gone and added a windshield vent like from a 15/1800 to help in this area.. just my out loud thinking

That is for Hondaline fairing... end-users and others in that type it may work but you can get ventted screens for these units...
