Windshield mount trick

I read that the better way to mount a windshield is with spacers under the shield so the shield sits about a 1/4" higher than the faring. This is supposed to allow air into the cockpit and reduce turbulence. I think there is a company that sells brackets to do this. Anyone know anything about this subject? Calmer air while driving would be great.

That sounds good but the trim pieces would/should block that... I know many who have gone and added a windshield vent like from a 15/1800 to help in this area.. just my out loud thinking

That is for Hondaline fairing... end-users and others in that type it may work but you can get ventted screens for these units...

I found this on a website, A different kind of faring then ours, If there was a way to raise it out a little that would be great, I was going to get a 1500 vent so riding this summer wouldnt be so harsh.

Windshield vents...I have one and absolutely can't tell a difference open, closed, summer or winter.
