So, can one of the electrical geniuses tell me/us how these work in relation to hot and grounding? Is the positive wire at the lights/ gauges and the gear selectors complete the ground? Or is it the other way around? Or is it some mystical force from beyond the black hole?

Yeah... what he said, because when I look at a schematic, I just see a bunch of lines. :head bang:

Actually, if I am reading this right, the gear selector completes the ground:


So the positive is at the light/gauge waiting for the ground to complete the circuit.
