I keep thinking that I would love to have a 1200 naked as an excuse to come back to the states for another ride
It would be even better if I could make my way to French Lick to say Giday to Joe in person. Might have to wait for the statute of limitations to run out on my Arizona Indiscretions....

$40?? Somethings wrong...either the ad price is too low (forgot a zero), or the engine is blown? You can more than $40 for the valve covers alone!

Heck of a deal, serial # says it's out of a 84 California Model.

Alright Mike, spill the beans! Where did you find that information at.

Dirty little secrets. :smilie_happy: The list is in the front of the Haynes 1200 shop manual. There's a complete (all model) Honda list of frame and engine serial #s at the Z1-enterprise website or use to be, I have a hard copy of it. I carry it with me when I go look at one to make sure all the numbers match what they are trying to sell.

Texting him now and picking it up this morning.
Was it really $40???

Dan's on his way, and he's gonna stop by here on his way back. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person. If he hadn't bought it, I was going to - like I need another engine in the garage...

That will be an interesting mod, a c5 on a 1200. The only thing back there now is the pulse generators and I'm not sure how the c5 will work with the ECM. I'm wondering how the advance mechanism built into the c5 will work with the ECM since the ECM advances timing electronically from within itself for the first three gears. Like I said, it should be interesting. It definitely would be a first I think. Any thoughts?
