Hello folks,
Well I getting my classic wing ready for a Spring Equinox(March 20th 00:50EDT 2020) Saddle Sore 1000, check out IronButt.org for details.

Everything was going fine until that ritual brake light check, Rear worked fine but nothing from the front :( A little quick troubleshootings and the culprit is a broken microswitch at the brake handle. It's a double switch, the upper sw is the brake light the lower is for the cruise control disconnect.

I've been hunting the net and Saber seems to have only the single switch for the non-cruise control equipped bikes. I found what appears to be the correct part at hondapartshoues.com but they don't have the OE part but a part 35340-MCA-S41 but no picture of this new part.

Has anyone used or viewed this part? I could jury rig by using the clutch sw but naturally the spade connections are a different size. At least I think the bottom functioning sw is the CC, but the Honda electronics tech manual says the brake and CC share a switch :head bang:

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks OC

Should fit your bike.

EXCELLENT! That is the part! I thought it would be a widely use parts bin item. I noticed the Goldwing with cruise control applicability stopped in 2017. I suppose the new GW have a CanBus type system.

Part is ordered, the S&H is more then the cost of the part :head bang:

Thanks

Yeah I paid up on shipping to get it here quick. The weather here in Maine is looking iffy on the 20th so I'm thinking about towing Black Betty south to Annapolis to at least have rain vs snow

Update:The brake switch arrived the day we had to travel for a family emergency, 7 days and 2800miles of driving. Well, holy cow I found the switch in it's sealed bag in a snow bank. I was sure that little bugger was going to be in the next county.

It looks a bit different than the 1987 OE but it's fit and function are fine.

Sadly it looks like I'll miss my Spring Equinox SS1000 ride due to travel and weather. But then it is exceptional to have riding weather up here in March :(

Thanks again for the help!!!!

Found sealed bag in a snow bank? :headscratch:
?? yes the little switch was inside a plastic bag with Honda markings and numbers. That bag was inside a small shipping plastic bag with addressing information. Have you never received a small item in it's own bag?

In the snow bank was because UPS 2 day delivery guy apparently left it on the garage side door step. He didn't make any attempt to secure the bag so the winds won. Sadly our new UPS delivery guy is not up to his predecessors standards.

Clear as Mud??
