78 GL1000 cold miss

Hello, fellow Wingers! I have my Dad's 78 and It's not getting spark on the two rear cylinders when cold. I checked the spark and nothing. When the temp is almost up to about center of the gauge, it starts to fire and runs fine after that. I did change the coils a few years ago. I suppose I could have one that is defective. Any ideas? Anyone in West Michigan I could take it to?

Make sure you are getting power to both coils. Might have a bad ballast resistor or connector, points, wiring, etc.

I put a relay on my ignition, it bolts on under left side shelter has got a decent fat feed from the battery and goes from there to power the ballast , I also just added a 450cca battery , I just use generic replacement coils , runs good , starts good .
