Hi Guys/Gals,

I just picked up a 85 gl1200 aspencade. Didnt run when i got her, bought her on a gamble and boy am i glad i did!

After browsing the forum and looking around, the dreaded 3 yellow wires and connector was obviously fried and stator/main fuse dogbone was toast as well. Replaced those and wired everything up properly and over engineered it... Shes alive!

More pictures to come.

Since i got her running good, i plan on syncing the carbs, probably cleaning and rebuilding them, usual maintenance things.
Just bled the Clutch, gotta bleed the front brake and get new pads.

Needs new rubber on the rear, been looking at the dunlop 404's or the Shinko's (might get a cheaper tire, not sure)

I look forward to contributing to the forum and hopefully being able to help out and lend a hand!

My names Jim, 27, Graphic Designer by trade, but bike and car lover by day/night. Been working on cars and bikes for 10+ years. I love them.

Welcome aboard. I never saw a bike with so many add on racks. Wow! You should be able to pack that up like the beverly hillbillies truck.
