I think that front tire may be larger than the rear on my 81 GL1100! That must be like riding a Clydsdale anywhere but the highway, lol!

Actually, the front tire on the valkyrie is much larger than even this one!

Surprisingly, there's actually a motorcycle under there! At the risk of over-simplifying, I just need a seat, coupla fenders, handlebars, headlight and a bunch of wiring tidied up. Oh, and paint. Fun stuff. It will be a looker and a runner.

Found out today that an '83 CB900 Custom front fender is a perfect fit. Comes out of my stash. Saves a few bucks and looks great.

Well, it's time to start accumulating parts. First I detail this puppy (dirty as heck) do just a little more electrical work and then mock it up. Then paint. Cheap paint.

But, after pulling lots of stuff off and having (no joke) probably 10 to 15 connectors hanging open, it fired right up! Needed just a little work in the power distribution area - as there were a few "enhancements" made by PO's.

Encouraging. Very encouraging.

:good: :salute:
Love the sounds of a six even if it is the wrong brand. :smilie_happy:

Really sorry for the non Honda content here. But you guys are like family. I did go to breakfast on the 78 this morning if that counts.

I thought maybe that I would just throw up a few final shots in a couple of months or whatever it takes on this build, but figured significant shots on the thread every now and then might be newsworthy. If so, then this is significant because I think I found the PERFECT seat.

Cast off from a 2017 Softail: (sorry for the sideways aspect. Having trouble with this new tablet.)

Took a trip to the cycle salvage yard today. Brought home a couple of bits and I’m very unhappy with the look. I may have to go back to the drawing board - this thing looks just a little to stubby. Need a little more length on this tail I think. Plus the tank is sitting about an inch or an inch and a half higher than it will be normally.

In fact, I think it’s that seat that I liked so much that’s throwing everything off.

Sheesh. All I want to do is ride the darn thing… And then sell it.
