anybody ever work on one of these

If you ask me (and you didn't) I think a boxer engine would make a great boat engine. It sits flat and low and runs smooth thanks to the boxer design. The wing engine would be hard to mate to the drive since it's off center. A Subaru would be a better choice.

had a fifty horse Evenrude on about a 14ft chris craft plywood speed boat, think it was the first yr for fifty horse? 1960 idk,, they were knicknamed fat fifty,, was a real fuel squeezer,, NOT. made tons of power,, could gun it a couple times and the whole boat would jump out of the water. I pulled two on slolum and one on trick ski's with it once. Was probly about 15,, at the most lol :beer: found this one, similar,, same colors.. Good luck with yours Joe

Wow - that thing must have TINY spark plugs!

geee .....yes did a lot of boating as kid myself ....my buddy had 50horse boat we took out all the time ... my whole childhood was spent on water mostly had ski jump in water ...never seen a dnr police on water ever ...today the same lake is like a police state on water... now when kids go out on the water boats ...cps gets called in to arrest there perents for neglect .... making the lake dam near dead...i am so glad i didnt grow in this mess we live in today ... today we have kids who live on the lake and cant swim or have fun from all the freedom they ...what a joke the times are today to even think freedom is associated with such police state of public harassment servents...the lake i live on here basically has full time patrol of the waters and treat the people that live on the lake like criminals ... my son is threaten by them all the time about fishing and boating ... id like to sink all there dam harassing nazie boats
