Hey Paul, I know you'd never do something like that! I've seen some of your work, and you do us all proud! It amazes me how some can just slap something together without checking even the basics. You're finding all the "shortcuts" taken by someone else.

thanks Steve, I hate the fact that shortcuts are there for someone, and the carburetors really told a story today, some of the mounting O rings were missing, jets clogged, needle valve stuck, and the floats were way out of adjustments.....but i'm getting rid of the 80"s and replacing them with some 83. Mark will have a very nice ride when this is all over with... :music:

I've had my grandson all day here with me, he is only 3, i had to call in the little professional to help.. :hihihi: ...so that's what i have been doing...lots of cleaning and rearranging things, Keeping up with parts is a lot of work within it self off one of these bikes....now i got some more leg room...and my little buddy is taking a NAP... :yahoo:

Love grand kid help... one of mine took a screwdriver and went out and cane in.later told grandma I fixed grandpa's motorcycle... he really did not mess anything up.. but it was a cute story.. and so is yours .. I find sending over there to get a dropped screw or nut.. and hand me that wrench.. works wonders for their ego.. and your piece of mind....

Went by and saw the bike yesterday and hung out with Paul and his clan for a while. The bike is coming along nicely. It's hard not beg to ride it. All good things come to those who wait.

Thanks Paul!

We had a great time hanging out with Mark, his wife and son, also had a few other locals that dropped by, we had a great visit, just wish the rain forecast would have been better, but we are going to have the meet when we can get it all together without the weather getting in the way..

Ok, so back to the drawing board....got some parts for the restoration, and got the motor out to inspect, clean and paint.
