I cannot remember how flush the starter sits! It isn't all the way flush and I'm not wanting to start it until I get some confirmation that it's all the way in. Is this right?

Its on a 82' GL1100. Sorry about not stating that. The holes line up so I'm going to finish things up and see about putting some miles on her! Thanks for the backup!
 
Looks good to me, too. If ti were not in the correct position, the bolts/holes would not line up. :good:
 
She's running like a champ!! For what it's worth, I bought the starter through EBay from Starter Central out of Memphis, TN. I read the post about starter problems and was worried but this one bolted right up without any problems. Thanks!
