If you all do not know, 3 weeks ago Craig was riding in his newer Streamliner when he hit a deer. He when down and took a hard shot to his face. He was wearing a open face helmet. He is suffering from a Traumatic Brain Injury and is having memory issues. Still in ICU in Gilmore Calif. His wife Carol has been with him till she passes out and they make her go home. I will not be religious here, but IF you are, ask for help and guidance. There is a CaringBridge.com blog for him but I do not know if Carol wants the whole world posting on it. Post your comments and I could extend them to Craig and Carol for ya.

Give him and his wife and family my best wishes for a speedy recovery. Hospitals are not at all fun.

Traumatic brain injury's are no fun!! :nea: ! Had it happen to me 7 years ago, still don't remember the accident. Was like a stroke, couldn't say what was in your head to say, was very FRUSTRATING to say the least. Short term memory was never very good, MUCH worse now, as is the hearing in my right ear, & it STILL rings :head bang: . Hope he recovers soon & well!!!

I think I posted on this here https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/craigvettermccrash,

Craigs wife has started a website of updates on his progress. But thank you for letting others know what happen and why he is in the Hospital. The bike I ride was inspired by the bike on his Vetter Parts home page. When I seen it there I said yup this is the same bike I seen in my head. I did all the research I could on Vetter corp. As you know I have a lot of things from the factory in IL. I check up on Craig daily through Carol on the site theirof. This is the worst day when I found this out. Craig has replied to many Emails I sent to him about the Vetter build of my 78 restoration. Carol too. A great thing Craig did for the motorcycles back in the day I'm so happy to have been able to talk to him about different things related theirof. Prayers go out daily.

Yes that is the blog. You must register with CaringBridge first.

Over the years I have too been emailing Craig and have followed his "Last Vetter Fairing" pages. https://craigvetter.com/pages/470MPG/Ind ... iring.html

When I crashed my Burgman 650 in April this year (45 degrees into a concrete barrier at 75 + MPH), I had been doing an email exchange with Craig and his kind words were helpful when I needed them.

Carol Vetter says Craig is getting some of his short memory back. :clapping: He is getting outside for fresh air with Carol in the evenings but is still in the Carmel area hospital. He is aware that the Bike world is showing support and well wishes. Please keep it up.
