Drive Shaft Circlip

Hey all:

Quick question. How rare (or frequent) does the drive shaft circlip break? A ride I was leading was cut short (less then 5 mile out) by a broken clip.

it happens ....it happen to me one time except mine was the one that held the final drive coupler ....it didnt break it fell off and was in the sleave :mrgreen:

Maybe someone had it off but didn't get it seated completely?

Might want to check the driveshaft and joint are ok. Not normally much force on that clip.

That clip is not easy to get to. Like Dan said, if the clip was not completely seated, it would pop in time. Break?? Have not seen one break yet.

I don't know if the clip broke or just fell off. However, a new one is in place and Jenny runs like a dream. I'm now going to carry and extra clip and pliers just in case. Thank you all for your help.
