Fuel-delivery performance

Engineered to high standards
Assured high quality and dependability
Tested under extreme conditions

I was also looking at the

1986'-1989' Honda Accord Inline rotary vane Electric fuel pump (NOT In TANK).

Or there are two facet electric fuel pumps

I may go with the AC Delco fuel pump for my 83' GL1100.

I will hook up the electric fuel pump to the oil pressure switch for safety

I will also hook up the Headlight to the Oil pressure switch, so when i work of the electrical i wont have the head light on.

Also during startup, headlight will be off till oil pressure is sensed.

i went aftermarket bolt on handlebar on/off switch (beside the stock switch housing) spliced into the right side handlebar wiring for the headlight,

def gonna go electric option on the fuel pump and also keep the stocker

After installing a 1200 electric pump I gotta say electric is the only way to go.
So much easier on the starter.

The 1200 quit pumping but I installed a fecet 2-3 pound.
Cost me about $70 local.

Another Fuel Pump that can be used

This pump has both fuel inlet and outlet on the same side of the pump like the GL1200 OEM fuel pump does.

but it is a slightly larger fuel pump.

Note:
The rubber insulators that come with the pump, would need to be used so that the pump does not short to ground, and blow a fuse.

The rubber mounts are used to isolate the pump and reduce noise. This is a 2 wire pump and above ground so it won't need to be insulated for circuit protection.

Hey Westgl, while reading about your headlight being hooked up to your oil pressure..Hmmm....what to do if your riding along at 70 in a long curve and your oil pressure drops out of sight....and no more light... :crying: ..just a thought.

No big deal for me at all, I just keep riding, I do not ride my 83' GL1100 after dark, not in my Very Rural area too many Deers Skunks and Raccoons near and after dusk.

If it was after dark, i did i would ride my Honda 2013' NC700X, much

Besides after I switched to a spin on oil filter i dont have low oil pressure any more!!

Spin on oil filter have a check valve in them

I don't recall--but the pump I bought--I believe--had all that info on the ad. It should be around 2-4 psi. I use it on a Korean war army jeep--a Willys--that has an aftermarket carb. that requires a lower fuel delivery psi--that's why I went to this pump.

Just bought one of these for the 85' Honda Prelude 1.8L, if on a GL1200 it mounts in the exact location of the stock OEM pump, just need 1/8" longer screws to mount pump.

Specs
PSI Shut Off: 2-3.5

Gallons Per Hour: 20

Volts: 12

Paid $37.79

Are you guys planning on some kind of tip-over switch (like the GL1800 bank angle sensor) to prevent it from pumping if you lay it down? I will attest that my bank angle sensor functions perfectly on my 2006!
