Fan comes on

The fan motor comes on when the ground loop is completed by the pin closing in the thermoswitch. Although rare, it sometimes sticks in the closed position causing the fan to run. Most of the time they stick open and the fan won't come on.

Or could be there's a short to ground in the wire from the fan thermoswitch......or maybe put a bypass switch in?

Yeah I'd do like Dan suggested, check the wiring first for short, the switch is right here, top center front of engine.gallery/image_page.php?album_id=1150&image_id=11533

Try unplugging the switch first. That will clue in what to do next.

That's a good idea dan, if you unplug it and it still runs then there is a wire shorted out, if it quits running it's the thermo switch, now why didn't I think of that.

Just make sure that you keep an eye on the temp gauge as it is more of a problem when the fan doesn't cut in :crying:
