I think that engine idle voltage is too low but not sure, it may be normal for 1500 and stock alternator.

Don't we have a 1500 manual in the gallery?
Pretty sure I do on my computer somewhere. Maybe hasn't made it in yet.
look in the owners manual ( a '93 1500 owners manual and an '84 1200 owners manual ) i sent you a few years back dan and see if the numbers are in it
I need to get that sucker scanned in and sent back to you.

That usually indicates an extra draw and not so much a charging problem, do you have an upgraded (brighter) head light bulb, and blue ground effects underneath, check the brake lights and make sure your switch isnt stuck, I went nuts for a few hours checking my charging system then realized the brake light switch was stuck on Dho!
Thats about all I can think of. Maybe others have more info.

O-man, yer prolly otay. One thing tho....don't check charging voltage right after starting the engine....give it a couple of minutes to bring the battery back up to full charge, and everything settles down. As has been said, ANY additional accessories that have been added will bring the average voltage down some, so you need to either turn all of it off(lights, coffee maker, microwave, slot machine :ahem: ), or figure in the extra draw when measuring the voltage.

As a side note, how is the alternator run on these? Is it belt driven? If so, a loose, or slippy belt can cause low voltage readings at times....
