They are a good bike with truck loads of power but the early ones 2006/7 in particular have a manufacturing fault with the 2nd gear. Costing me over $3,000 to fix. Also lots of plastic and almost impossible to work on. Eg to add coolant the fuel tank needs to be removed.
Selling it to buy by GL1100. I know it will be a very different bike but I can't wait to pick it up. Will also pocket the difference and save on running costs. 5000 miles from a rear tyre that costs $380 - no thanks.
Here registration is over $600 a year. If the bike is over 25 years old you can pay $140 a year and ride it 90 days.
No Grand Prix at the moment. Just a good holiday spot to spend New Years
