I am running it now and it is good!

Very stable idle, Between 1 & 1.2K with no idle screw into the Weber.

It don't have any plastic on it yet so this is all at a standstill in neutral.

Gassing it? Not one sign of bogging down, with 2 turns out on the mixture screw, that's never happened before!

So tomorrow it gets finally built out, I'll let you know how that all goes.

Let's not forget though, what I learned from Cannuckxxx, alias Brian, about re-jetting the carb, all this happened at the same time, so this badass running may not be all his fault :)

PS. Thanks Dan and Joe for your fast replies this morning.

I humbly accept the accolade but you sir are the one doing the actual hands on stuff. Do not sell yourself short. Good job. Oh and try not too over think stuff so much in the future. :hihihi:

Well it's all together, now I just gotta ride it. :moped: :thanks:

Dan, now can I get my C5 badge?

Done as soon as I read your post this morning :salute:

Well after riding it, here's the scoop, the thing rides like a piece of crap.

And being one to take credit for all of my F*(K ups, I will tell ya'all why I believe this to be the case.

The bogging down issue started earlier this year as you know, and now it has escalated into a, I''m running out of gas, type scenario. with half a tank to spare.

And of course ya'all also know that with my bike, it can't be anything simple. Right! So then I think, damn! What about that 7 year old fuel filter.

I'll let ya'all know tomorrow evening!! :Awe: :whistling:

When you pull it, dump it and separate the cover to examine the paper filter. If it looks intact, just dirty, you're lucky. If it has come apart like so many Emgo brands did, then you need to carefully remove the fuel pump top and diaphragm. Not a bad idea either way. Often the filter releases crap down to the pump. Then use a flashlight and mirror to look inside the tank, not just the bottom. I had one tha sat for years with 3/4 of a tank. A quick look and it was good, but the mirror showed the top and upper sides crumbling with flakes of rust. I cleaned carbs monthly for a while on that one before finding the source.

Check it out, the fuel filter is important, maybe check the fuel cap too, It is supposed to let air in and not out, If it is not letting air in it can starve the pump, loosen cap and drive to see, might have multiple things going on.
