Since this post spurred worries about my lithium battery, I have been riding with no side cover to monitor it. Some mornings I would go out and it would register 14+ volts. What I found is that these batteries pretty much hold the last charge they had, they lose very little sitting. So I started shutting it down with the kill switch and leaving the ignition on, headlights and lights. In as little as ten seconds it would fall to 13.2 volts approximately. When left over night, it would stay close to the same. If I let it idle for a minute or two before shutting it down, it would stay at 13.2+-. The other day, I did a compression check. After spinning all four over, it was about 12.8v but recovered quickly to 13.1+.
I'm not worried as much. I just haven't taken any long trips with it. A volt meter might be in order, because sustained 14.7 volts of charge could be problematic. It could be remedied by just shutting the ignition off to drain the excess away every hour or so.
I may revisit the relay again. Maybe something was draining my power away. My wiring is a heck of a mess of spaghetti. I tried to remove the reserve lighting mess, and my electrical expertise and understanding could be summed up with, "Hey, it works!"
