MPG with single carb?

I had an early 70's model Honda Civic that got 50mpg. But that was before they started dinking with the gas quality and adding ethanol.
 
my 85 1200i.got 25 to 30-mpg.with a solice pic 34.but,i,m topping 300 lbs.and a interstate.put the .ol,lady-on..well you .know what I,m saying.and the difference was.instant-throttle..and power,at low,and high-rpm,s.solo,or with someone.the-jet idea,is worth.checking-out.i,ll dig into that,next.. :music: :rocks: :thanks:

yep when the charge gets right ... it means you to pont a to be faster and to do that flow is strong ... that dont really add up to mpg to me ... i dont think hooch will score high here but never tested yet ....it like a gun ..same bullet ..different top speeds more powder... even the potential to do so costs more gas ...throwing a 600 pound bike faster around another car takes muscle ... as in gas at twice the speed as stock carbs will and time
