Hello Everyone!
I recently purchased a 1986 GL 1200I on advice of a friend who is a former dealer.
(Burgundy)

It's an upgrade from a CB750K (Anybody wanna help me put that back together?)

My wife and I are enjoying this bike very much.
And I'm having fun tinkering again.

Recent installations include two power outlets, a new center reflector in the rear, trunk rack, and GPS holder.

Still need: trunk corner reflector, radio, HAM radio, APRS, and maybe exhaust baffles added. I love the quiet ride.

I also need to do the seat. the stitching is worn through, and im a big guy, so that's not helping.

Nice to be here. My reverence to the experienced wrenchers! and thank you.
Greg

Welcome to the fun. Folks here can probably help you put most anything together. We even know a thing or three about olewings! :smilie_happy: :hi:

Ha! MBS I love that!

Thanks everyone! You sure know how to make a guy feel welcome!

I have started in on customization.
Last few days I have been focusing on my HAM radio and APRS set up.

Last nights project was to install a cable hatch in a saddlebag. the APRS transmitter I use has a radio, and a data unit, that have to sit some distance from the antenna.

So I did this:

Inside - just an opening.

Sorry about the photo size. I'll work on that.
