Has everyone seen the 2012 wing?
This is a new low in my mind, not very creative at all,It looks like they are trying to memick BMW.

With all the expectations, and the engineering resources at honda I was hoping for better.
With some of the standard features offered by the compatition like power wind screen, power center stand standard ABS....it seems the goldwing, once the trend setter,is falling behind.

Who has seen it,and what do you think?

Yes I have seen it, I thought it kinda looked like a Victory..Doesn't look like a traditional Goldwing..

yeah gotta agree with Dan on this one, not what I thought at all, I'd have to put another $500.00 -$800:00 just in a neat paint job :rocks: :rocks: :rocks:

Hey that video was shot right here. :yahoo:

honda has lost direction with the goldwing starting with the '01 1800's. copying bmw the made the 1800's sporty and now with the new bmw 1600 the wing is back to being a touring bike not a sport- tourer, make up my mind honda

Still out of my league! (I really don't like the primary colors scheme). After I helped my buddy change an air filter on his '06 GL1800 and saw how many wires and connections there are inside plus the fact that it took us hours to get to the filter, I'm gonna stick with old easy to work on classics! (That still look like motorcycles)

C'mon Honda, how about some creativity!?

I mean look at the ass end, same trunk with Victory style bags, the lines don't flow.
It looks like the signals are incandescent, why not LED?
And come on guys, how am I gonna put a receiver hitch on for my beer cooler? :smilie_happy:

I'm sure it's still an excellent machine but this body style lacks imagination.

guys, we are all kinda bias to an extent.
face it... some of us own in our opinion... the best looking wings built.
sure the engine is great. it probly has a huge comfy couchlike seat and all the awsome technologies but it lacks style.
to mw it looks very plastic. modern, spaceship-ish.
we have many newer wings in our chapter, and they all are excellent machines no doubt. but they dont compare to mine.
the 70's and 80's had there own look... didnt resemble any other make.

and I wouldnt buy one for the cost, even if I had the cash...

just my opinion. but I respect all who like this too.

You are right Jim! I know a lot of guys with newer Wings and they love them! Dependable?? Nothing on the road like them. Just not my style.

The cost is too high. The all new BMW is cheaper and it has a brand new engine.

same here , I could never afford that . I don't really like the way it's Painted much. and I think it looks a lot like a BMW from the side. and even a little like the Victory from the Rear . I am proud to say my old 1980 is Payed for, and ALL Mine . and runs just fine.... :music:

Im not in the market for a new bike untell my youngest is out,but if I where looking right now,Id be leaning hard toward the BMW.
The wing is still lacking many of the standard features that beemer offers for less money. And those lines are not right. They could have at least changed the trunk to macth a little right?

Ofcourse if the misses doesnt get back to riding,I see a sport tourer in my future.
