I took a cruise over to Vegaswingnut's place for a little help modding the mounting holes.

The bolt pattern on the 1200 fender is wider to accommodate the wider forks of the 1200.

The hideous original, twisted like a pretzel 5-6 times forgetting the cable lock. :head bang:

This is how we were taking the fender on/off while working out the details of the mod.

This pic gives you an idea of where we need to remove material to widen the bolt pattern on the fender.

I need a Dremel bad.

We ended up taking the front wheel off to make things a little easier. BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO.

Looks sweet!

Straight as an arrow.

Thanks again Steve-A-Wing!

This how I intended to avoid forgetting the lock from now on...

looks like theres room to drop that fender 1/4 to 1/2 inch down over the tire?

I guess I could but that would involve more modification, the only difference in the old/new fenders is the length of the rear part of the fender, the old one is longer, but now I plan to get one of those chrome extensions for the 1200 front fender.
