Hey there!
I am new to this site. I live here in Lebanon Oregon USA.
I always wanted a wing and finaly got one. :yahoo:
It isnt much to get excited about but it is mine and paid for! 1984 Aspencade 1200 31,000 miles. It is in realy good shape although it does need tires. I did find out on the way home that the stator was bad. :Awe: I confirmed that after checking it. (with all of the information I have gotten from this site) So, before I get to take it for any kind of a ride I am doing the alternater conversion. I have a buddy who looked at the pictures and read a lot of the things written here that is helping to fabricate the parts. I hope that by next weekend I will have it on the road!
I suppose thats my whole introduction...... I dont have any pictures yet because I had to tear it down as soon as I got it home!

Welcome to the CGW Forums, ilknascar!!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Well I finally got the time to finish the conversion!! :Egyptian: We went on our first little trip to see how things went and so far so good!! My wife was excited to cause she got the old bike, 87 Suzuki VS 1400. It is the biggest bike she has ever ridden. My 11 year old riding buddy loved our little trip also. I have found that I get an exhaust smell when we are running along. I will have to see if the exhaust is leaking but, I also noticed that when I decelerate coming to a stop I get a back fire. I am thinking that I may need to adjust the carb synch as well. Was a good time though for the first half way decent day of the year here in the good old rain forest northwest! I am trying to attach some pics and will see what happens. Thanks again for all the hellos and welcomes!

Ok Omega Man, here are a couple of pictures during the conversion. They are not all that great but I hope they work for you though. I didn't post them because there were already a lot on the site. Any way, here are a couple of them to look at any way. Who knows, maybe it will help someone get their project done.......
Hey Big Mackie, Your in Oak Harbor? I have a son, daughter-n-law and a daughter in the Navy. They were all stationed on Whidbey Island for a while. In fact my daughter just transferred in April. They are all now in San Diego. I get up to Oak Harbor occasionally to look in on my sons house out off North Shore Circle.
Any way, thanks again for all of the welcomes guys! I hope the pics come out good enough..
