I've been sort of wanting a 4 cylinder Goldwing for a while, with a slight preference for a Vetter fairing and a flat seat. I really didn't need another bike, I really didn't have space for another bike, but I saw a beautiful GL1000 with less than 20,000 miles on Craigslist and had to at least go look at it. It didn't have a top trunk, and had an aftermarket seat

When I got there, I found that it DID have a trunk matching the Bates bags, just not installed. It DID have the flat seat--in a bag, in almost new condition. First bike I've bought that didn't need tires. It also came with the manual, and a complete GL1100 parts bike. Gauges look new, with no sun fade. (Owner kept the bike garaged and under a cover) Came back the next day with cash and a trailer, loaded the 1100 up, and followed Wife home on the 1000.

Nice bike! Is that Piqua OH?

Yes, it is. I'll fix that once I've posted enough that it lets me.

Candy Blue. I'm jealous. Welcome. :lust:

Freebird grew up there. He brought me over for a few months last year. Missed the kids so we came back. He still has family there. I want to ride the bike over when and if we get time. With racing ya just never know. :/ We have been known to race Eldora from time to time. Safe riding to you.
