For my two cents worth one of the sweetest little bikes I ever had was a CB160, that was so light, 160CC with a twin carb set up for it's size it went well over 80Mph. and without doubt the best small bike of the late 60's early 70's as was the Honda 250 dream with the squarish headlight cowl. That was the beginning of the end for British bikes over here, that little 250 was almost bomb proof. nearly all the fours were great bikes, all the British bikes had were a couple of old thumpers that ran out of air at about 75Mph. The Honda's, Suzuki's and the Yamaha's craped all over the British bikes even the 650 Triumphs couldn't catch them, but saying that I really would love a Triumph T120 Bonni. Back then it was if it don't leak oil it isn't British.

My dad often says "A Honda with a parallel twin motor is like a reliable triumph" Easier to work on and find parts for too.

Back in the day when Triumphs and Harleys were dominating the Drag strips, Along came Russ Collins and Stunned everyone with his Honda 750 bikes , Also Holding the Top Fuel Drag bike World record for 12 years with the Duel engine Sorcerer one the first Fuel injected Blown Nitro bikes, My 1979 CBX has Russ Collins parts and exhaust...Was shocked when a collector friend told me he had it in the back of his shop stored for 25 years..begged him to let me have it...He did and it has some very rare Go fast RC stuff you just can't find anymore you can still see the 33 number on the seat of this 10 second Drag bike..SOHC has Russ Jr and his Dads Bikes being restored right now been watching him and RIP Russ Sr .https://forums.sohc4.net/index.php/topic,99452.0.html

Ah hell, while we're at it, and we can be such attention hogs, I may as well post a couple of my restorations. Because I love old Hondas.

CB350 I did, with a GS750 in the background that was finished as well

And a 550 that I did before that. I like working working on them but they are far too small to ride for me.

A couple of the stolen parts were the GS Cooley fairing, bump seat made out of a 550 tank I had left over with a wooden support, and the tail light is from a 59 Chevy. Both were a POS when I got them.

Really nice stuff there. I love the twin motors. I would like to get a 550 twin or any twin engine really. They are so torqy and rev happy. And everyone knows that yellow bikes have at least 10% more hp than any other color...

Did you work on these to sell them? I am wondering if the custom look brings more money in than a restoration project. I was planning on doing a cafe style on the 750 without doing any frame chopping. Then its merely a facade and can easily be changed back to stock.
