Speedometer

I get a lot of speedometer needle shake. Is this normal on an older bike?

Yes normal in the sense that it needs maint done.
Try lubing the cable with atf and the bushing in the back where the Speedo connects.

Might also just want to spring for a new cable. They aren't much $ even from Honda.

And route the cable so there aren't any tight bends. The closer it is to straight the better.

After a good cleaning, I just gave it a shot of PJ1 cable lube. Good for now.
