Bout a month back,pulled the carbs on my 77.....cables were worn so I pulled them for replacement........Now I can't recall if they go over or under the frame crosstube above?

Those are not Sr. Moments. You should refer to them as intellectual overload.
personally i run mine outside the frame so cable hook up and take off is easier with my big paws .....no
