tintop adventures

got the van warmed up and I was out the door at 9:30 and at mom's by 10:00. we left her house about 11:00 and headed to her doctor's office to pick up some papers mom needed, I took a pic with the Christmas tree that was in the office while waiting.

it was a pretty gloomy day with the temp around 30f, the wind was coming out of the east at around 15mph. after leaving the doctors office I decided to take mom to lunch in my favorite Michigan small town, she always says that I done take her on any adventures anymore so today was the day. we headed east on I-94, our only stop on the way was at wadhams road for fuel. I exited the expressway in Marysville so mom could get a good view of the river. she really enjoyed the views along the way

we stopped at freighters for lunch which has a good view of lake saint clare and lake huron, we were lucky enough to see a laker going down bound into lake saint clare. after lunch I took a few pic's before taking her around to the fort Gratiot light house. the temp had dropped and the wind was blowing harder so we didn't bother to take more pic's. from the light house I headed back to m-25 then picked up m-29 for home the senic way, it had started raining on and off anyway so it was time to end our adventure plus it was getting dark and we were up in deer country. I think i'm going to take mom on another tintop adventure soon

Nice report, curious why the name 'tintop'? There is a road near us that is called tintop and is a decent motorcycle road.
