While the temps may still be rather mild, here is Syracuse, the roads are covered in salt, so the GW will sleep in the garage until Arpil...What is your experience with 5-6 month storage period? My gargage is not heated, but it never freezes. The tank is full with 93 octane gas and I use Startron fuel stabilizer - our gas is 10%Eth. The oil is fresh. I have a battery tender hooked up and it shows a full charge/maintenance(green light). I turn the gas to off.

Do you think it is a good idea to start it once a week, and let it heat up and idol for 15-20 minutes or let it sit until spring? Someone once told me starting it will increase the chance of condensation forming in the tank?
Any bad with letting it idol and getting hot? (yes, the garage door is open )

Thoughts - ideas? Anything else I missed?
Thanks all.

Running it up to operating temp will cook out any condensation in the exhaust. I prefer to just stabilize the fuel and let it set with the battery protected. If the bike stays out the battery comes in. Either way I run the bike with fuel off until it quits.

I also do the same, battery comes out and goes in the basement, put the battery tender on it once or twice a month while it's out and keep an eye on the water level in it :moped: :moped: :moped:
