Well after rebuilding best it can be without honing the cylinder I'm ready to upgrade this scarce MC to one readily available.
Besides which that silly spring clip design concerns me because the aluminum it sits in is corroded away some.

Has anyone done this?

Westgl linked me some posts at NGW and Saunders, neither say what they did to make the banjo end connect to the steel line. Not that I've so far anyway.
Lopeha replied back to me that he can make up a line for I think about $50 incl shipping.

Anyone have any other thoughts on this, how I should proceed?
Different MC that might fit better?

I know I might be in the minority but if I had to make up an adapter plate I would just get an overseas type MC and adapt it, that way I wouldn't have to make up a new line.
Here`s a link to one type , I just pulled it off the site and dont know if the banjo is correct or the dimensions are right but you get the Idea.
Wait one second, you have a banjo or Ferrel type fitting? If you have a farel why not just replace the whole line, a good used one would work, wouldnt it?

Don't think of yourself in the minority here at CGW, shame on you :rtfm: :smilie_happy:
You've become my #1 right hand for locating parts!

Yes, 83 is hard line ferrel not banjo.
The linked one looks much closer to what I need except it's banjo.
Hard line type version may hook right up? Worth a shot for that price if so.

I did a search on line and only found the banjo type, there were some that exited out the side instead of the top but all banjo.
Take a look at this link, on the far left you see a banjo to high pressure female hose fitting, Now if that had internal threads for your male ferrule and the right size banjo that would be all you need to use your old line.
Thinking maybe a search for hydraulic hose supply might find something to save your old line.

Getting closer I think, checking this page..
https://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s ... e+Fittings
This next page has fitting to fit the banjo fitting but I do not see any female to female adaptors, maybe worth another look.
If not I would just cut the flare end off your line and install a female high pressure nut/fitting and use one of the adaptors from the first page, you`ll need to re-flare your line but HF has an inexpensive flare tool.

Glad I could help., I wouldn't cut the line unless you have to..I just did a quick search but if you can find a 10MM banjo X 3/8-24 inverted flare adapter you wouldn't need anything and you could keep your old line without modification.
Its a 10MM banjo, just don't know if the flared end is a 3/8-24.

This will be interesting! I don't know how they can manufacture, package, and ship this halfway around the world for $11! Amazing! Hopefully, it's good stuff...

Stranger things have happened

Judging by the eBay pictures it looks like it uses a hard line fitting instead of a banjo.
Hope so, and it's the right size.

I'm thinkin even if it is junk at least we'll know if it can work and works my linked brakes.
If that's all good then I can order a new OEM which fits a lot of different models so easier to find.

Looks to me like it is the 10X1.25 banjo bolt type they just don't include the bolt..saves you a few bucks. It took my front MC only a week to get here, your shipping may vary.

Is this gonna be adaptable to your 83 bolt up wise and if not a direct bolt on then what will you do to adapt this new m/c to your bolt pattern? And also is the bolt pattern the same between an 82 and an 83? The pattern looks close hole to hole wise but the angle is different if I'm looking at it correctly.

I'm hoping I can adapt it but I won't know until I get it.
