Soooo, I got the side covers on today, and the chrome intake covers, the new chrome handlebar clamp, the new wind deflectors for the faring, and the wife was cool about everything....I'm on a Mission, it may take me two more years, slowly buying stuff for the bike, but I want to repaint the bike, chrome it out, and just make it look worth something.....I want something I can be really proud of...Something that looks new but isn't....I wasn't about to spend a dime on fixing it up until I knew it was a good road worthy bike..So I shall be busy...

Would you like photo's of my beat up face or the Bike? Don't say both...Can't have both... :smilie_happy: I did get the side covers on the bike and the intake cover's, I am currently working on my valve covers, I am polishing them using my hands and lot's of small clean cotton rags, it is a very slow process but I have amazed the family because they are looking good, I just ordered a used chrome spark plug cover that goes between the intake covers off ebay, then I will need to polish up the belt covers too, once I polish them by hand I will put it on the polishing wheel or buffing wheel to get a very shiney result, it's gonna take me some time, but when I'm done it should look pretty nice..Then I shall take a photo ,Or..I may repaint the whole bike.. I was thinking a really pretty dark metalic blue with black accents and gold pin stripes...Right now it's gunmetal gray..I kinda like that too... :shock: Who knows...Oh and I put the floorboards back on, there's a lot of chrome on those which will help in my task..Plus I miss them on long trips..
