Driving with the multiple sticks got real old when you were stuck in traffic!! I preferred the road ranger shifter tight to the seat! My last truck was a Ford CL 9000 similar to this one:

Fun to watch someone that can do it...not so much if yer doin it yerself!

One of the workhorses I had back home was a '41 model Super White...two sticker with two speed diff....that dang thing would crawl right up a wall....wouldn't run over 60mph unless goin downhill, tho... :hihihi: Biggest problem with that one was the second shifter was waaaay over on the pass side....lottsa fun, that one was.... :nea:

sheesh I don't how many times I had to take that 5/4 gmc tranny tadem axcle truck full of 500 bushels of gain up belcher hill to are farm the tallest place around here ... miss a shift ther was no recovering ...20 gears three different levers and hi low switch too ... I was really good at ... cant remember a thing about it anymore really .....I am sure I couldn't drive one now LOL :hihihi:

the company i first hire in with had one twin stick truck, it was mostly used for yard work. yard work ment you never came out of low range. all the newer trucks had 13speed road rangers in them
