Finally changed the oil at 30000 miles on an operational odometer ( speedo didn't work for approximately 6k)
Emptying the oil that Steve83 put in last year after my August ride
Hopefully the Rats Nest likes Shell HX3
Oil level after running and topping up

I also fitted the eBay 18w LED spotlight on the curb side position ( left over here)

Finally received the shims for he 1800 valves and got it back together this afternoon. Think I might just have to put a couple three hundred miles in the mountains on it tomorrow to break them in.

Sounds like that would be the minimum run in procedure. Enjoy the hard work of running them in! :moped: :good:

I left her at home and drove the cager to work today, it's fricken 110 out today. :heat:

~O~

It was 10 C a couple of hours ago and now it is almost 10am so I should stop playing and go and do some work. It will be a high of 21 C today but later in the week it will be back up to a high of 24 C ( 75 F ). Great winters weather in SE Queensland

Gave it the once over one last time before I hit the road this weekend. I still have to change the oil and check the air in the tires tonight, but the bike is ready for another epic adventure!

Due to the hot, humid valley weather, I rode over 441 to Cherokee, onto the BRP to Asheville, then back via US25/70 through Hot Springs, NC. Yep, a little over 300 miles and the Black Pearl ran great! Even gave her a bath when we got home.
