You went right by me. Twice! I was at work just off M6 at M37 you must have gone by on your way to Zeeland.
I sure did, went right by you. we should meet up once my foot heals up

spent a couple hours over at john Wayne's house, on my way home I stopped at DQ for a banana split. there was a young lady in front of me, she placed her order and gave them a card but was informed that this DQ wasn't set up for cards yet. she headed towards her car so I asked if she was going to get some money or if she was leaving, she said " leaving " I had her place her order with mine and paid for it all. she said " what do I do, how do I re-pay you? " I said " do the same for someone when you can and make them smile like you are smiling " I gimped to my van and headed home so I could enjoy my banana split

My wife and I took a mini-tour, around 450 miles total, including about 90 miles just checking out local roads. Me on the GL1100, her on the little Ninja 250.

On the way back today, we stopped at an American Legion Veterans Memorial Plaza. Took some pictures.

Blakesleys did their part.

There's a story here as well. But I couldn't find it on Google.

Member of the Lost Battalion here.

Found Arvid Hansen's story.

And I also looked up Clinton's story. He survived the Bantaan death march, as well as illness and injury, just to be critically wounded on an allied bombing raid on a Hell ship.

Rode a little this afternoon through the mountains here. Forgot to take camera with me, of course. Want you all to know there is a dedicated motorcycle campground here in the vicinity of Hillsville, VA, called WillVille. With nice weather I passed my fair share of slower cars and Harley's, including a group of 4 from Tennessee, complete with chase-van, lol!

Spent at least 4 hours fixing a leaky toilet tank Sunday afternoon. I think I separated the tank from the bowl 5 (or was it 6?) times. Was near giving up and going to HomeDepot for a new one, but in the end $11 & change in parts. Not the plans I had for my Sunday afternoon when I got up. :cheeky:

gimped over to mom's and took her to lunch at louie's, corned beef sandwich and fries for, corned beef pita and fries for me. took her back home and gave her her allowance also

I love the whole “Pay it Forward”.. :clapping: :good:

rode another 120 mile round trip to help a fellow GL500 owner with his bike. He was unable to drive over 50 mph or 4K rpm. Turned out his breather box was so full that oil had saturated his paper air filter. Cleaned the air and breather boxes, made a short test run w/out saturated air filter, and problem solved! Very hot here in S/W VA today, the heat from the GL1100 motor was a bit fatiguing to be honest. I need to remount some decent highway pegs for summer riding!

This weekend, Rode to the VA hospital to give them their allotment of blood for the quarter, came home put tires on the front of the Baby Deer (dirt bike spoons works awesome for this), Fixed the HUT sticker and License plate on the front of the Semi, went to the dump with more garbage and watched Star Wars the supposedly first one that and the 4th new one.

Got a huge upbeat in the form of a fan ..who seem me play drums many times and always wonder what happen to me ...made my day ... found me somehow on Facebook ...been slowly getting my skills going strong ...but it amazing how much pain is involved in my back from being broken and drumming ...have to use the back brace after awhile to keep going ..but I play aggressive..anyway it was very uplifting as to be remembered From so long ago ...

I have a good friend that plays(ed) drums too, his was more of a big band type, he loved playing cruise ships and retired from playing and now drives a Semi. Anyhow he has described this too as being a thing with his body.

I did nothing but sit in the house and chat with my step son, he just separated from the Marines after spending 4 years. Proud of that kid!
Thank him from me for his service!! :thanks:

Will do! Thank you!

I was going to be packing for the camping trip we were going on. While running some last minute shopping errands, we noticed the car was leaking fluid when it stopped. A solid stream of gasoline that would come to a trickle and stop after about a minute.

I spent the afternoon looking under the car and yep, the fuel line is shot - rusted in multiple spots. The other line (evap? return?) is also looking pretty nasty. Guess we're not taking that car.

I'll yank both lines late next week and see how bad the damage is and what the fittings on the ends look like. Probably something proprietary. If so, hopefully there's enough good line at either end to be able to patch in some replacement line.

yesterday i drove over and picked up mom, had to take her to pay some bills this morning. after paying bills we rode up to mt. Clemens, mi. then headed back to Roseville, mi for lunch
