The bike that I have this EC relay Harness on is a 86' GL1200 it does Not have a resistor either.
But my thought is that if the OEM stock Honda wire is to small, and since it's 30+ years old, it's ability to conduct electricity efficiently may be less than acceptable.
I like the idea of no resister.
