Hopped on the 1500 this mernin to head to werk, and....flop. Something dint feel right when it came down off the center stand. Sure enuff, front tire flatter than a doornail. Dadgummit! Prolly picked up a screw/bolt/nail/dagger from somewhere here around the shop, but possibly something from the road, who knows? Tire will be here late this week. Went ahead and ordered brakin pads too....might as well swap the fronts while I have the front end opened up. I guess destiny decided I just dint have near enuff crap to do after werk already.....😭

Yup. This front tire has just shy of 27,000 on it. Still has several thousand left, but if I gotta bust it down to change the valve stem, I'll put the new tire on it anyway. If memory serves, this will be only the 3rd front tire I've put on this 1500 since I bought it in 2017. I can live with that!
Speaking of tires, and the troubles I had with "The Turd"....the guy I sold it to contacted me today, and sent some pics.....and shortly after asked where to buy tires and where to get them installed....:p

Started tire replacement today. New tire showed up about 3:30pm. Will mount tire and finish tomorrow. Tryna decide to go back with balance beads, or have the tire/rim balanced with weights....🤔 New braking pads have not arrived yet...😒

7 years & 27k miles, that's a long spell for a motorcycle tire. It did you a favor by going flat. Enjoy the new rubber.

Motorhead, this tire is only 3 years old, with 27 thou. 😉
Rear tire still looks good. It was replaced 2 years ago...I'd hafta check the miles, but it still has plenty of life left on it.🤫
Anywho, I got the new tire mounted and installed. Went ahead and used 2oz. of Counteract brand balance beads, since I had plenty of them on hand. Be back ridin in the mernin! 😁
