A cheap UV LED flashlight in a dark area is an amazing tool for finding oil leaks.

Based strictly on this thread, I purchased a UV LED flashlight. What a great little tool. for only $10. Arrived in a couple of days and I immediately checked the oil in anything with a sight glass. Thanks folks...

I am cautiously optimistic that I've solved the problem. The large, aftermarket oil filter rubber ring was too small and had to be stretched to get in it's groove. The UV LED flashlight was a huge help in finding the exact source after cleaning. Got an OEM filter kit and all is dry. Thanx, Dave
They are also good for spotting fuel leaks.
