GL1100 PVC Manifold and 34-3 outta box Carb

How much longer to Spring......I'm ready to Ride....Modifying both bikes to carry Camp gear. I am gett'n stir crazy.

Just be ready for the first warm day. We'll be getting some soon. At least I really hope so. 19 degrees here today. :head bang:

Still work'n on camp'n mod for both bikes, took starters off and cleaned and lubricated. Got to looking at my 3 yellow wire connector on the bike and it looks good........but on closer inspection, the back side is scorched and the wires brittle. I took it apart and cut wires, and glad I did, it was on it's last leg,,,,checked the other bike and same thing.....so I soldered up the wires. Look at your wires closely, I had no visible signs of heat damage, but it was there, save you some time and trouble, FIX IT, I did.

Almost ready, goin' camp'n for Easter Weekend with the mods on the Naked Wings.. Short trip about 60 miles, we will stay all weekend. This is a trial run so we can add what we need, and leave stuff we never use.

Easter 3 day camping trip, cold and rainy, great test for equipment. We had fun. Single carb still runs great. no problems.

Doesn't look fun to me but I'm glad you enjoyed it. I just bought a single brl solex to try for myself. Much older version but we shall see. Thanks for the inspiration.

Memorial Weekend is D-Day for the PVC Manifold/34-3......My wife is on the stock 82, and I will be astride the 81 SCC. We will Depart Sat. the 23rd taking a 9 day 1,600 mile adventure. We are leaving the Bayou State head'n North, camping as we go, with no destination in mind. Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri members keep an eye on the forum,,,,,,,,,, I packed baling wire and duct tape but we still might need a tow,,,,,,,,,,, but we ain't Askeerd.........Servicing Bikes this weekend and fine tuning our gear.

Just rolled into Petit Jean Mountain Park, Ark.Great ride up the mountain, single carb ate it up like a mountain goat. 5 days into trip, 800 miles so far,,,,,,,
