The license plate is attached to the reuglar trailer frame isn't it... it almost looks like it is attached to the box.. I moved mine to the frame rail after having it and the lights attached to my box... so I can take off the box and have the flatbed trailer,, just asking.. as i could not be clear where it is..

Yes, it is attached to the carrier, not the frame - I moved it as high up as I could...

This is the bike and trailer, loaded and headed for the meet'n'greet at Joe's last year...
The extra length on the tongue is a must in my book...

Any thought about changing the color of the box to match the bike? Not sure how easy that would be with that type of textured plastic though.

Nice John! I can see where that extra length helps. Did you compartmentalize your unit or just kinda through things in to see what fits?

Brian - I actually have the paint to do that; just haven't done it yet
Gerry - Being a good bubblehead, I packed in such a way that nothing could move around. Compartmentalizing would restrict packing too much.

Brian you may be able to find a soft insulated cover designed for portable fridges in black..

Thanks, guys! A color matched cooler cover is being made this winter. Someday I'll color match the carrier...

Now that I'm pulling it with the 1800, I can't even tell it's there...I have a color matched cooler cover and still haven't painted the carrier itself.
I just couldn't bring myself to buy a camper trailer - $4,500 is more than I want to spend! So I upgraded to a better tent

Besides - I leave for Kauai in 6 days :wave: ....rather spend the money on vacations. :smilie_happy:
