+1 on the cable. Mine is from a dry speedo ( 2 new cables, broke the first one due to the stiff speedo drive) so I just spray silicon spray into the output drive whenever it gets dry ( needle starts jumping) or I remember just before riding the Rats Nest ( works it in before gravity lets the silicon run out).

Do you need 17 lbs of pressure? I ended up dropping all air out of the front forks with the Progressive springs and only adding 2 lbs if I needed air.

I added more pressure since for some reason i have a mysterious front end bounce. Its not too dramatic but its not normal. I had the same bounce with no pressure, therefore just going on trial and error.
Anyone experienced a front end bounce?

Actually, just took her out and the bounce is diminishing. Maybe just new springs and oil settling. Front tire is new too.

I also have a fairing and like the firmer feel.

I'm running progressive springs with little or no air pressure and it is stiff, but I like it that way, and I do get some bounce depending on the road condition. On new smooth asphalt it rides nice and smooth, but I definitely feel the rough roads.

Progressive spring's,15 wt oil, 7-10 lb's in rebuilt fork's, with fork setting's at 2. Their shock's at 15-30 lb's, handles about anything that comes along nicely. Tight as a drum, smooth as silk. :good:

Where can i find the adapter and hose needed to run a compression test? I probably don't have the tools to make a diy for this.

Is there a "how to" mod with coil upgrading or is it a simple "plug & play"?
If you are planning to upgrade ignition the best bang for your buck is an entirely new ignition system from C5.

Not sure why you would want to upgrade the coils, they are unique in the fact that you have two coils firing four cylinders. If you look at the schematic you will see that these are very different coils. Also most coil output is matched to the sparkplugs, or plugs are matched to coils, really don't remember witch is witch. Anyway as slabghost said the C5 I understand is the best upgrade, although I haven't upgraded mine.
I have the old belief that if it aint broke, don't fix it.

Mine might be bad. I put the meter on it and the numbers continue moving down. Moves past 3 then into the negatives, unless i'm checking them incorrectly. Do i have to remove from bracket to get true reading. I tried the plug and nothing.

when all this start ..i thought the motor was running good

motor runs well but lags at idle and sometimes misfires.
# 4 plug is wet with gas. that exhaust does not heat up.
