things lately have been in the safety tech lately ... not more power tech ... there a learning curve for me going on here too.... :heat:

one thing is for sure the C5 is doing its job

+1 on the C5, definitely has a different note ( not withstanding your 1200 early crammed engine). Safety is now most important, my whole issue is I have enough power just not enough dynamics. If I am too hot on the CBR I can apply milliseconds of brakes and change things dramatically, not so with the Rats Nests dynamics. I am already grinding away at the center stand and of course the peg wear pins. I have also worn out the rear Metzler LaserTech in 3 months and less than 3000 miles as near as I can figure :(

mpg figures coming in this is small sample so far only 86 miles and 2.3 gallions used ... dan said that 37 mpg ... this was mostly 2 up riding ..but me and patty are not on the big side at all ....it also included the video just made of the hard run through gears and a couple practice runs too ....

so i am thinking i will get 40mpg out of it maybe more .... but i have to say for a bike that runs like hooch this seems very good to me ....after a the ride yesterday of 100 miles plus .. the only problem i have is loosing idle after a while of riding and wanting to die ..but this problem is small ... but i am going to to try and figure it out ... i think i have a trick up my sleeve for this ... all in all the bike is much more easy to deal with than any oldwing set up i ever had .. the low end torque and high end power is just flawless ... and it just dont matter what gear your in anymore

just bumping vid to rear .....things seems fine so far no hitches really ... it dose not idle like steves 83 he just rebuilt but past that it seems to do everything at the highest level ....

well the last check on mpg was a full tank check ... iwas hoping for 40mpg ... but got slightly less than 37mpg ... somewhat disappointed till dan pointed out this tank was all 2 up riding and very hilly around here ... anyway it is what it is

Beats the heck out of running on 4 sometimes an no power at any speed.. lol Hills 2 up with all the power, sounds good to me.

oh man i just got back from test ride after last carb mod on secondary ...oh man ... this is something ... just hard to take in really ... ive been in some fast stuff over the years ... this bike seems like it will turn in the 10s at a track easy if it hooks up ....ive never seen a tack rise so fast ... theres a cell phone tower i kind of gauge myself with ... this ride i was over 100mph long before i got to it ... beating the accelerating video by over 10 mph and several 100yds also ...

i really just dont know what to think ....it seemed like the bike came completely off ground when i hit second gear ..i know it didnt but what a launch it was ...and third gear was like being shot out of a cannon ... hit 4th and really started growing feathers and chicken out big time ... i just could not hang till the tower at all ... thats all i can say ... this is the best build of anything i have ever done
