Idle speed

Purchased a 1979 with 30000 miles with supposedly gone through carbs bit it idles at 2000 rpm. Not what I want. Anyway to lower it With an adjustment? Thanks.

Idle adjust screw is on the right side behind the carbs. Brass slotted screw - it adjusts the idle stop for all four carbs. It should idle all the way down to 800 when warmed. I'm thinking about putting an extension an mine as it tends to creep up when warmed up. But, even a stubby screwdriver will reach it.
