Yup, it is the best of both worlds. After I made the video, my wife and I went for a ride on the '84. Man what a difference in machines. Most notably the brakes, aside from all the obvious stuff. The braking on the '84 is superior to the '76 even with all the touring gear and a passenger it was still a notable difference.
