I picked up another GL1100 to part out and this one has a great Fairing tank cover saddle bags and trunk - normally I just sell on eBay but these items are large and hard to ship. I would be willing to hang on to any part (Including the motor) for a few months with a 50% retainer.
Check out the pictures on Kijiji - you can use the view posters other adds link to view the seat mufflers and other adds I have posted there

and here is a link to my eBay store

Looking for a trunk pad for a 1982 Aspy
I also have more than 600 motorcycle magazines from the 70's 80's and some from the 90's as well - there are a sampling of them lsited on eBay check it out and like all parts I give members of these forums a discount. the magazines that are listed in groups of 12 I would let go for $1.00 each plus actual shipping charges.

I'm looking for a trunk pad for a 1982 Aspy. I would take whole trunk if reasonable

Anyone interested in a carburetor core? Comes with (most) of the parts. A good buddy of mine had these sitting around collecting dust so i bought them thinking some of you guys might need Carb Parts

Item number 6 in the picture below is a trasmission cover change switch - is that to indicate the gear posistion and if so why is it on an Interstate?
Transmission Cover.png

My '81 does not have that particular switch, but it was used in later models...from what I have learned here.

All the 1100's have that switch. Only the Aspencade would have the switch that indicated what gear it was in, the others would indicate neutral and OD.

Oh contrare, mon frere....
My 1100 don't have that switch. The pic from DSL shows the switch that bolts into the front cover.
Check out Roady's pic...his says that that particular switch is only on the '82-'83s....
As far as Aspys or not, I ain't got a clue, but yer prolly right...the Aspys indicated each individual gear, but the Innerstate/Standard only showed Neutral?

I'm just sayin....

Yeah now I think of it the 80-81 has the block mounted neutral switch which doesn't heat up an od light cuz they ain't got's one.
The switch in your pic above is a dual action neutral/od.

Joel what program do you use to add the text and pointers to pictures

I don't....that pic came from Roady's most excellent front engine renewal thread. I think this new puter I got has some software that has stuff like that, but I never use it....too complicated fer me. I just use MS Paint....
